MY BIGGEST TYPICAL BUCK TO DATE
Ohio has had my number for years. It's the state I've hunted the longest other than Michigan that I haven't been able to score in. Well for some reason 2021 was my year to finally capitalize. I walked in the timber to scout right after a heavy rain storm on the morning of October 26th. I was looking for the most concentrated deer sign in one area. To say the least I think I found the mother load.
CAPITALIZING AFTER A RAIN IN ILLINOIS
Last fall was the year of capitalizing after a rain for me.Going in to last season I had a few goals I wanted to achieve. One of those goals was to finally get the Illinois monkey off my back. I had a trip around the middle of October to head down there and try my luck. The weather wasn't the greatest but I had some rain move in and one of my target bucks showed up in daylight. Two days after he walked in daylight the rain moved in again but this time I decided to jump in the stand right after it was over. Enjoy!!!
